Mayor Boodle Tries To Sacrifice Himself

Mayor Boodle decides he can’t watch his town suffer any longer and walks straight toward Buggy, ready to sacrifice his life in a hopeless charge. Luffy stops him, knocks him out to protect him, and declares that he and his crew will handle Buggy because they are the ones who started this pirate fight.

Nami’s Inner Conflict About Pirates

Buggy continues to threaten Orange Town, firing Buggy Balls and laughing while the remaining villagers hide and shake with fear. Nami is torn between her hatred of pirates and what she has seen from Luffy; she knows Buggy represents the cruelty she hates, but Luffy protects people’s dreams instead of destroying them.

Zoro vs Cabaji: Wounded But Unbroken

Buggy orders his acrobat fighter Cabaji to take down Zoro, hoping to crush the strongest swordsman while he is still badly injured from previous battles. Despite his wounds, Zoro insists on a one-on-one duel; Cabaji uses circus tricks, a unicycle and flashy attacks to target Zoro’s injuries, but Zoro endures the pain and defeats him, proving his pride and resolve as a swordsman.

Luffy vs Buggy: Outsmarting The Bara Bara Power

While Zoro fights Cabaji, Luffy faces Buggy and his Bara Bara no Mi power, which lets Buggy split his body into pieces and attack from different directions. Luffy figures out that Buggy’s separated parts still have limits and focuses on his grounded parts, using his rubber powers creatively to smash Buggy whenever he lets his guard down.

Nami Joins The Fight

Nami finally chooses to help Luffy openly by tying up Buggy’s separated body parts so they cannot fly back and reconnect. With Buggy’s main advantage sealed, Luffy lands a powerful finishing blow that sends Buggy’s pieces flying across Orange Town, ending his rule and freeing the villagers from his terror.

Farewell Orange Town, Hello New Crew

After Buggy’s defeat, the townspeople start to relax, rebuild and thank Luffy’s group, with Chouchou the dog standing as a symbol of the town’s stubborn hope. Nami agrees to join Luffy and Zoro as their navigator—at least as long as it benefits her—and the trio leaves Orange Town together, officially starting their journey as a true pirate crew heading toward the Grand Line.
