One Piece Episode 6: Mohji vs Luffy and The Dog Who Guarded a Dream

 

Episode 6, “Desperate Situation! Beast Tamer Mohji vs. Luffy!”, continues the Orange Town arc right after Luffy, Zoro and Nami blast Buggy with his own cannon. Buggy’s crew is furious, while Luffy ends up stuck in an iron cage that Zoro drags away, badly wounded from the earlier fight.

Luffy, Chouchou And The Pet Shop

Zoro is taken by Mayor Boodle to be treated, leaving Luffy in front of a small pet shop guarded by a white dog named Chouchou. The townspeople explain that Chouchou’s owner died and the shop was his life’s dream, so now the dog protects it as his own “treasure”, which Luffy silently respects because he understands fighting for what you treasure.

Mohji And Richie Attack

Buggy sends his Beast Tamer Mohji and his giant lion Richie to hunt Luffy down and destroy what’s left of the town. Mohji finds Luffy still locked in the cage, and in the chaos of Richie’s attack, the cage is smashed, accidentally freeing Luffy but leaving him face to face with Buggy’s powerful pet duo.​

The Destruction Of The Pet Shop

Richie smells the food inside the pet shop and charges straight through it, knocking Chouchou aside and tearing the place apart. The shop is burned and destroyed while the little dog desperately tries to defend it, breaking Luffy’s heart and making him truly angry at Mohji and Buggy’s crew.​

Luffy’s Revenge For Chouchou

Seeing Chouchou crying over the ruins of his shop, Luffy decides this fight is not just about him anymore but about protecting someone’s precious dream. He uses his rubber powers to beat Mohji and Richie decisively, humiliating them and sending a clear message that he will never forgive those who trample on another person’s treasure.

March Toward Buggy

After the battle, Luffy gives Chouchou a box of pet food he managed to save, giving the dog at least a small piece of his lost home. Inspired by Luffy’s courage, Mayor Boodle decides to confront Buggy himself, while Luffy, Zoro and Nami head toward Buggy’s stronghold, setting up the final showdown of the Orange Town arc in the next episodes.
