Luffy, Zoro And Nami Cross Paths

While sailing, Luffy gets snatched away by a big bird and carried through the sky, forcing Zoro to chase after him in a small boat. On the sea, Zoro encounters Buggy’s pirates, while Nami appears and smartly tricks these same pirates, stealing their treasure and navigation map meant for Buggy.​

Orange Town Under Buggy’s Control

Luffy and Nami end up in Orange Town, but the place is almost empty and destroyed because Buggy and his crew have taken over. Buggy loves using his special cannonballs called “Buggy Balls” to blow up buildings just for fun, proving he is both a clown and a cruel tyrant to the town’s people.​

Nami’s Plan And Buggy’s Devil Fruit

Nami introduces herself as a thief who “only steals from pirates” and pretends to join Buggy’s crew so she can get close to his treasure. During the confrontation, Buggy reveals his terrifying Bara Bara no Mi power, allowing him to split his body into separate pieces that float and attack, making normal sword slashes and punches almost useless.​

Luffy Captured And Nami’s Dilemma

Buggy captures Luffy and ties him up, planning a flashy public execution using a Buggy Ball to blow him up in front of everyone. Nami is forced into a horrible choice: if she wants to stay undercover, she must pretend to help Buggy kill Luffy, but inside she knows Luffy is different from the pirates who destroyed her life.​

Zoro Enters The Battle

Zoro finally reaches Orange Town injured but ready to fight, cutting through Buggy’s crew and realizing that this clown is much more dangerous than his silly appearance suggests. By the end of the episode, the pieces are set for a big clash: Luffy vs Buggy, Zoro trying to back him up, and Nami caught between her hatred of pirates and the possibility of trusting Luffy.
