One Piece Episode 11: Kuro’s Plot Exposed and Usopp’s Resolve

Episode 11, “Expose the Plot! Pirate Butler, Captain Kuro!”, picks up after Jango knocked Luffy off the cliff in Episode 10. Nami and Zoro climb down, rescue Luffy and wake him, and he immediately tells them that Klahadore is actually the pirate Captain Kuro planning to wipe out Syrup Village and kill Kaya for her fortune.

Usopp’s Final Warning To The Village

At the same time, Usopp runs into Syrup Village shouting that real pirates are coming at dawn and that everyone is in danger. Because he has lied about pirates so many times, the villagers refuse to believe him, think it’s another prank, and even chase him away, choosing to trust Klahadore instead.

Kaya, The Mansion And A Painful Rejection

Desperate, Usopp goes straight to Kaya’s mansion to get her to escape, begging her to believe that her butler is a pirate who wants her dead. The guards block him, and when he keeps insisting, Kaya—unable to accept that her kind butler could be evil—slaps him and accuses him of making a cruel joke about her parents and her life.

Merry, the other butler, shoots Usopp in the arm to drive him away from the mansion. To Kaya and the villagers, it looks like Usopp has gone too far with his “lies”, even though this time he is telling the truth.

Kuro Prepares The Black Cat Pirates

Away from the village, Kuro meets his real crew, the Black Cat Pirates, at their anchored ship. Calm and cold, he orders them to attack Syrup Village at dawn, kill everyone who gets in the way, and make Kaya’s death look like part of a normal pirate raid so her inheritance will pass to him.

Usopp’s Despair And The Kids’ Hurt

Wounded and exhausted, Usopp meets the three Usopp Pirates kids at the outskirts of the village. They feel betrayed and heartbroken, thinking he lied again about pirates, and they leave in anger and sadness, believing their “captain” has fooled them one last time.

Usopp is left with no one in the village believing him—neither adults, nor Kaya, nor even the children who admired him—but he still refuses to run away.

Standing With The Straw Hats

Luffy, Zoro and Nami regroup with Usopp and hear how the village rejected his warnings. Even so, Usopp declares that, liar or not, he loves Syrup Village and Kaya, and he will fight the Black Cat Pirates himself if he has to.

Impressed by his courage, Luffy, Zoro and Nami decide to stand with him; together they prepare to defend the coast path where the pirates will land, ending the episode with the small group united and ready for the crucial dawn battle against Captain Kuro’s crew.
